“ Tai Chi & Qi Nourishment”
Qi affects every aspect of our lives. Yet, to date, Qi has been largely ignored by modern society. We still see the world from a physical chemical point of view, we have not yet learn to relate it from an energy perspective. On this 40th anniversary of the Academy, we introduce you to the traditional Chinese way of living with Qi energy by holding a “Tai Chi & Qi Nourishment” seminar. - Grandmaster Khor
Each session is a mixture of theory and practice that explores the essence of the arts and the philosophies they developed from.
Beside the health information & philosophy, you will be provided with practical training in Qigong, Tai Chi, Massage, Diet/Nutrition and Chinese calligraphy, plus the latest scientific explanation of age old Chinese skills. It is a weekend of relaxation and revitalization. It may even transform your life.
Through this seminar we hope to introduce you to the wider scope and benefits of Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation and life-nurturing through experiencing the Living Chi arts, as well as the latest medical application of Tai Chi knowledge. Both can deepen your knowledge of skills already learned within the Academy or identify new skills and techniques most appropriate for maintaining life-long health and vitality.

A medicine of the future … beyond mechanics to the domain of mind and spirit
Twenty-first century health care will be based upon energy principles and interventions involving the mind, body, environmental, and energetic dimensions. For sixty years now there has been a slow paradigm shift in healing from scientific toward holistic medicine and more recently to energy medicine…. individuals are beginning to open their consciousness.
Western health is often preoccupied with numbers and linear progression; calories, steps, number of repetitions, how fast, etc. Tai Chi’s holistic approach is based on (zen) mindfulness, feeling and awareness. This not only uses the brain in an entirely different way but also improves neuromuscular facilitation and mechanical efficiently that reduces wear and tear that leads to premature aging. Through functional elongation of connective tissues we can maintain suppleness to fully participate in life longer – our goal is to preserve our vitality and independence.
Besides the health information & philosophy of “Life Nourishing” (Yang Sheng), you will practice the principles through Tai Chi, Qigong, Massage and Meditation.
