Newcastle Tai Chi

The Australian Academy of Tai Chi & Qigong hold day & evening classes in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley & the Central Coast Region. All tai chi classes are lead by certified AATC instructors.

From the humble beginings in April 1980 Ken Pearsall was the lone Australian Academy of Tai Chi & Qigong Instructor in Newcastle. Along with Chief Instructor Ken, Deputy Chief Instructor Barbara in Newcastle & Instructors on the Central Coast there are near 40 AATC certified instructors teaching Tai Chi in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley & Central Coast Region of NSW.

Regular tai chi demonstrations are given at various functions throughout the area including regional festivals, local hospitals, patient retreats & community group gatherings.

The climax of the year would have to be World Tai Chi Day where instructors & students from across the region plays tai chi with the rest of the world. A seminar is held on the following day.
